Faculty Administration - Humanities and Social Sciences

The staff within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science are valued, trusted, passionate individuals that help to equip students for their professional vocations via supporting their student experience in studying either counselling, youth work, music or creative writing and communication.

To support this we are seeking a Faculty Administrator to contribute to the effective operation of our Faculty. This will be through a broad range of administration in relation to new and existing student, including Program Coordinator support, timetabling, event management, budget and committee administration assistance and the support of the Faculty Administration Manager's role.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a Christian academic environment, combining strong organisational skills and administrative experience with warmth, initiative, and a heart for community-building. They will be confident in managing complex tasks, balancing multiple priorities, and engaging positively with a wide range of stakeholders including staff, students, and external enquirers. This person will be committed to the values of respect, service, and excellence, and will bring both professionalism and grace to their interactions. It would be advantageous to have experience in or a strong interest in music due to the strong relationship between this role and the music programs.

  • A passion for student education within a Christian community

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with students and staff while maintaining professional behaviour in line with the organisation's community standing.

  • Strong competence in Office 365 including spreadsheeting

  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member

  • Proven event management or coordination experience

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate IV or higher in Business Administration, or substantial equivalent experience

  • Prior experience in school or tertiary administration is desirable
